Meal Planning
What are we having tonight?
The classic couples argument starter!
- Enter what you eat into Minicook for each meal and it will start predicting what would hit just right each night.
What are we having this week?
The sign of the organized.
- With a history of what you like and how often you have it, Minicook will make some pretty spot-on suggestions for what to have during the upcoming week.
I'm not a Chef
How long does this recipe actually take?
- Most recipes take you through the steps after things are prepped and staged.
- Minicook recipes have all the steps.
- Use Minicook while you cook to let it know how long each step takes, and it will build a customized time to cook for each recipe.
I'm cooking multiple things for a different number of people than the recipe
- Minicook will scale the portions of each ingredient up and down based on how many are eating, how much they eat, and whether you need leftovers.
- If you're cooking multiple items for the meal, Minicook will intertwine the steps to make the most use of waiting time.
- Minicook will also prioritize the items that take the longest to minimize your time in the kitchen.
- It will even suggest when you can clean the cookware or load the dishwasher to help keep the kitchen tidy.
I'm not sure what I need to buy and I always forget things
What do I need for the week's meals?
- Use Minicook to record what you have on hand in your pantry and refrigerator, then Minicook can compile a full list of what you need at the grocery store once a week.
- Minicook will suggest stocking up on dry goods, while leaving things that spoil quickly to be bought closer to when they're needed.
- Some food brands are only available at certain stores, so Minicook will give you a list and where to go to fill it.
What if I don't want the planned meal?
- Knowing what you have on hand, Minicook can match other recipes with what's available and make suggestions.
This sounds pretty data invasive
All data is stored locally on your phone
- You can download recipes, store locations and the like to your phone, but once it's on your phone, it's yours.
- You can use Minicook offline.
There is an optional data sharing feature if you choose
- If you want, you can sign up to be a contributor.
- This allows you to upload recipes, stores and store locations.
- If Minicook ever makes money, contributors will share in the net profits based on how many downloads of their recipes occur.
